We brought home our first little flock of Sapphire Gems and Silver Laced Wyandottes in September of 2021 and have added new chicks in March and just brought in four Barred Rocks and two Golden Comets.
The chicks are now happily mingling with our older girls, and the pullets are watching through the fence.
We have lost a few to predators which must watch for me to run inside. And more recently we've lost a few to what I'm guessing to be internal laying. I'm currently dealing with a sour crop issue with another girl.
Just wondering... if chicken keeping is supposed to be "easy," how difficult is keeping goats?! Slowing our roll until we can figure out chicken keeping.
I used to enjoy reading the Classics. Now I spend my free time reading BYC forums.
Looking forward to finding grace and wisdom from you all.
