(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Not new to chickens started raising layers when I was a teen (over 30 years ago).
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I currently have 33 chickens, they are my laying flock. Seasonally I will have over 200 as I raise poultry for meat.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Barred Rocks, and Hybrid Brown Layers ( I love me some giant eggs ). I am adding Green and Blue eggs to the flock, but they were born yesterday.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Watching the chickens be chickens, the joy they bring to my grandson and of course the eggs. I do rotational grazing with all my poultry, including the layers.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Woodworking, youtube creating, farming
