Hi from Louisiana. My parents had a range of animals growing up and I recently got chickens and a pair of ducks. I look forward to learning from all of you. My chickens are so spoiled. I just started letting one of my hens keep her eggs, so I'm hoping she will set. She has six eggs this morning. My duck laid an egg four days in a row and now nothing. Her previous owner said she laid an egg a day but would lay themy all over. I have searched and she has not laid an egg in 4 days. The ones she laid I put in her nest and she has very well covered them with hay but I never see her on the nest. Was thinking of putting them under my hen if she starts to set or going get an incubator. Any idea why she isn't laying? I may need to get a different food? Wow, thanks for reading all that.
