Hi from Louisiana. My parents had a range of animals growing up and I recently got chickens and a pair of ducks. I look forward to learning from all of you. My chickens are so spoiled. I just started letting one of my hens keep her eggs, so I'm hoping she will set. She has six eggs this morning. My duck laid an egg four days in a row and now nothing. Her previous owner said she laid an egg a day but would lay themy all over. I have searched and she has not laid an egg in 4 days. The ones she laid I put in her nest and she has very well covered them with hay but I never see her on the nest. Was thinking of putting them under my hen if she starts to set or going get an incubator. Any idea why she isn't laying? I may need to get a different food? Wow, thanks for reading all that. Didn't mean to be so long

Welcome to the Backyard chickens flock. The folks on the Duck thread, would be able to give you better advice than I ever could. I don't know much about ducks at all.
