I have been raising chickens for a little over 2 years. My first 12 are alphas they are kinda mean to my other 6. Learning a lot about my girls.
Also learned about bummble foot this summer. It has been an experience. Other then that eggs everyday and the eggs are so much different then the store bought eggs.

Good morning from NH! I've had chickens for about 7 years and now have 11 - all different breeds.I have raised garden beds and this year planted "Dinosaur kale". The chickens hop up there and eat their fill and within about a week it grows back...
Have a great day!

Hello and welcome! I'm looking forward to hearing more about your flock. Sorry you've had some complications with them lately. I am new to chickens since this May but have been wanting them for a long time. Waiting patiently (or not so patiently) for our first eggs. In the meantime, they are so much fun to watch!

You may already know but just watch for the "squat" when you approach. They usually lay about 2 weeks after that, if i recall correctly. Such an exciting time.
