Some of y'all may remember the whole "Why am i getting non-whites from white cochins?" from that other thread of mine.
Welp that first oddball that started it all (The blue frizzle?) was in fact a pullet and has recently started laying.

Now, y'all may remember me bringing up how I wanted to use her in a bbs pen- Which is still a potential plan, i have a "bbs+c" crew who are all around juvenile stage I'm looking forward to.
But recently I've been thinking about how much I miss having a white frizzle cochin around, and with this lovely new roo of mine, I'm wondering if she could still do well in a white pen?
I know I was told there's a chance she'd throw white randomly in a bbs pen, so I'm sure I'll get whites if she's under a white rooster, but would they come out with blue/black leakage? Almost paint looking but not quite I guess is what I'm imagining? I just don't want to make a bird that wouldn't count as a true color IF I can help it.
Here she is:

And here's the roo I want to put her with:
I'm pretty certain this time he's not gunna throw what the old roo did, I have high hopes- he appears to well-bred and I trust who he came from. He does have the silver gene.

Tagging @NatJ as I know you were one of the ones that helped me out with that thread.
And you too @BlueTheBrahma

Wow, did you take those photos ?
They’re really good, I’m proud if mine are in focus.
Thank you! I did, on my phone 😅. After many, MANY takes and deletions I may end up with some good photos. Although that pretty roo of mine loves photoshoots. Some of these birds can't stand still even if for their own life, I'd have to hold them to get a focused picture. But then I don't like my hand being in the way haha.

I think the options are these:

If she carries recessive white, and the rooster is recessive white, then any white chicks should be just plain white, and about half of chicks will be other colors.

If she carries recessive white, and the rooster is dominant white, then "white" chicks might actually be paint. Yes, the leakage would be blue if a chick inherits the blue gene from her, or black if the chick does not inherit the blue gene.

If the rooster is dominant white but also recessive white, or carries recessive white, then you can get some chicks of each type: ones with two recessive white genes that are just plain white, and ones with one dominant white gene that look like paints or like leaky whites. Those ones might also carry recessive white or they might not, but it would probably not affect their appearance either way.

I just don't want to make a bird that wouldn't count as a true color IF I can help it.
You won't know for sure unless you try it. Chickens of non-standard colors make good layers and backyard pets (for someone else if you don't want to keep them), and of course any color of chicken is also good to eat.

When you say plain white- Would they be recessive also? And the random colors, anything particular?

And this time I'm sure he's recessive white, way more certain then I was then other guy.- I did more diving with him before buying then I did the previous rooster.
His previous owner is quite knowledgeable in the breed, his parents won awards but I don't believe he ever won any himself. (I don't think he was ever entered.)
She sold him to me relatively cheap for his type, but it's still the most I've ever spent on a single rooster.
She taught me a lot about the cochin standard
and told me that this rooster is recessive white but carries the silver gene.

I've hatched a handful of chicks off of him from the white cochin girls (Same ones that were with the old rooster.) and no odd balls or chicks with leakage. Some of the chicks have showed that the rooster does indeed carry the silver gene though.

Just to show, here's 3 of the current chicks I have off him and the girls:

If the hen carries recessive white, and the rooster is recessive white, then any "white" chicks are recessive white. They probably will not have leakage of other colors.

I said "plain white" to mean what they look like (just white, no other colors expected).

For the other colors of chicks, I would expect some blacks and some blues (because of what genes the hen must have), with a chance of others (depends on what genes the rooster has, and whether the hen is carrying any other recessive color genes.)

In that case, assuming the hen carries recessive white, you can expect 50% white chicks (probably without leakage) and 50% other colored chicks (probably some blacks and some blues, maybe other colors. There is a chance of leakage in any color, but I can't say how high the chance is for which colors.)

For all of these, with a frizzled hen and a not-frizzled rooster, I would expect about half of the chicks to be frizzled. Frizzles should be equally likely in all colors.
