Hello from south Georgia. I am sitting here at work, thankful for my many blessings. A large tree missed our bedroom by about 1.5 feet this morning as it was felled by the wind, along with 8 others on our property. While we will be without lights and water for what is currently estimated to be a week, we are fortunate to have had no injuries to ourselves, animals, or our structural property.
So I want to send good vibes and positive thoughts/prayers to all you other BYC folks regardless of what you are dealing with right now, because if you are seeing this then you are a little more blessed than someone else out there and in these times a little goes a long way.

So glad you and yours are okay. So much devastation to many southern states; watching the news is saddening.

It was very nice of you to post this, and again, we're glad to hear you're all okay, albeit without power for a while.

Happy to hear all are well despite the power issues.

Falling trees are quite an event. I recently had a large ficus come down in strong winds here. I had just returned inside after letting the chickens out when I heard the loud crash. By some miracle it missed damaging both my chook house and the bantam's tractor. I would have been swamped by the canopy had I still been there. Those chickens would have eaten me, I just know it!
