Goofy Silver Spangled Hamburg

She keeps laying in the feed bucket.

Our feeders are kitty litter buckets with flower pot saucers screwed on. Goofy hen keeps laying on top of the pellets.

Have you tried putting golf balls or fake eggs in the nest boxes? Worked for me. I use golf balls and the birds arrange them with their eggs.

all 11 other hens lay in the nest boxes. This is a recent development.

When our Golden Penciled Hamburg went broody last year, she kept laying eggs in the strangest places. She was trying to find a GOOD place for her broody nest. Just a thought......

No sign of broodiness. Just goofiness. She's been on this for a few weeks.
