Goose friend

I have a 10 day old Sebastopol gosling. I'm pretty sure she's a female from her fluff.

I read the post about not having lone geese. I'd planned on integrating her with my ducks and peacocks but the article says she'll be unhappy without another goose.

If I do decide to get another goose, does it have to be a gander so she can have a mate?

Geese get along just fine with the same sex. If you want fertile eggs get a gander, but otherwise she’ll be fine with another female.
