Goose got her bill stuck..

My little goose (8 month old African) got her bill stuck between 2 pieces of fencing that were overlapped. I just found her, I was back there this morning and she was not caught, so it had to have happened within the last 8 hours.

She is eating fine, but there is a small open wound on her bill, like a scrape from falling on the pavement for humans. Its about 1/4 of an inch long. Is there anything I should do to it, i already wiped it with a first aid wipe, but should I put any medication on it? I don't want it to get infected.

She'll be fine. I don't know how many times mine have scraped up their bills--usually by sticking them where they don't belong--and they've always healed just fine. Never had any infection or done anything to them. She should be just fine.

LOL worried mamma, it's the first time either one has gotten hurt, I feel bad for missing my afternoon visit now
