Hello All,

I am a new member and joined for this specific reason. I have a very high maintenance goose. I know this may sound funny but am at a loss of what to do. I have raised chicken's ( currently have 35 ) I also have Perkins, cyugas, ruens, runners, anconas. All together I have about 50 birds. I decided to take a shot at buying 2 geese. I got an Toulouse and emblem, they were raised with my runners and about 15 chickens all of which have transitioned to the coup just fine weeks ago. The Toulouse is attached to me like I've never seen before. She will scream relentlessly if I'm not there, pics on all the other chickens and ducks ( she was ripping there feathers out ) I had to separate her. I cannot put her in the coup. She made her beak bleed from hitting it on the chicken wire trying to get out at me. She wants nothing to do with the flock. She follows me everywhere and just wants to be by me. Pleas help with suggestions, I would like her to join the flock.
Thanks

How old are your geese? sounds like she has imprinted on you big time. do you know gender of both? I would keep geese separate from chickens and ducks from my own experience after they get a certain age usually close to breeding stage sometimes younger they don't have much tolerance for other birds being in the same area with them. Maybe keep your Embden and Toulouse together from the others and they will form a bond. I have an Embden gander and Toulouse Goose and it took my gander a while to bond with my Toulouse he had been raised with ducks. Maybe put the plastic chicken fencing inside along with your wire fencing to the outside this might protect her bill from injury.

Welcome to BYC!
