Hi All
One of our Dewlap females passed egg membranes a few weeks ago which we posted about. After antibiotic treatment she re-gained her appetite and acted normally. In the last week she has been mated by the gander and shown signs of coming back into lay This morning I found another membrane in the straw. Then this afternoon I watched her lay an egg on the grass which looked like an intact egg without a shell. Felt rubbery and very heavy when handled. Decided to cut lengthways and its appeared like a soft boiled egg
The intact egg though lacking a shell.
On cutting open it appeared as a large yolked soft boiled egg.
The large yolk was wrapped in its own membrane and the albumen looked like cream lumps.
This was then all wrapped in another thick outer membrane.
I hope this has'nt put you folks off your Easter Eggs
Pete
