My 1 year old female pilgrim goose was 'missing' for the whole afternoon, and when I found her she was just sitting inside the coop. Usually she is exploring the yard with our other goose. They both laid lots of eggs in April, and they were broody for most of May, so I don't think it's broodiness. When I encouraged her to get up, she walked a few steps with a limp, and eventually walked out of the coop. I 'encouraged' her to walk some more, and at a faster speed she seemed ok, but when I left her alone she went right back to sitting.
Up until today she was acting normal (eating, drinking, and molting). I found no weird spots on her flipper. I really am at a loss on what to do for her, or if I should be worried.
Has this happened to anyone before?
