Gorgeous Ee Roo Available In Brooksville, Fl

Hi. Glad to hear from another brooksvillian. You wouldn't happen to know anywhere to get some 16 week-ish hens in our area would you?

Well.....What I would do is.........

Look on craigslist for what your looking for. There are also 2 small livestock auctions in the area. One near Webster on hwy 301 on Sat. nights. The other one is in Darby on sunday afternoons. You may find what your looking for. It just depends. I'm sold out of all my extra chooks, but as soon as the girls start up again, I'll be incubating.

great, thanks for the advice. how about zoning restrictions for chickens in brooksville? I just moved into brooksville a couple months ago. we're zoned residential, but have 5 acres. i heard there may be some exception for chickens. would you happen to know anything about it?

I'm on 5 acres too. If it is zoned AR..(agricultural residential) your good to go. You can have horses, cows, chickens, goats, any livestock you want. I'm out near the interstate and I think we are all AR out here.

I think we are just residential, I'm gonna get rid of my roo and hope no inspectors come poking around. Thanks again for the help. How are your chickens doing with all this rain? My run is constantly soaked.

Well they have their SCUBA gear on and snorkles just in case.

It is wet. They have coops, but do you think they would go in them to get out of the rain? No, of course not. They are wet like everything else. The runs are on high ground but they are still nasty. A couple of days of sun and we would be good to go.
