Gosling hatching woes

.I have successfully hatched 4 goslings. However, I have lost the last 4. They die right before hatching out. A couple have even zipped but do not break out and simply die. I am distressed.

Sorry to hear. My first batch were Embden eggs. I recieved 7 eggs, one was broken, 2 were not fertilized. Of the 4 remaining, 3 hatched with no issues. The last pipped, but after 48 hours had not zipped. We tried to help it out of the shell, but it was shrink wrapped and died. It is a very distressful ordeal.

Congrats on your goslings...but I understand how disappointing it is to lose one so close to the finish line. I consider incubating eggs to be a bittersweet experience - sometimes it goes great and sometimes there are unexpected, even tragic, problems.
