Seems to be a lot of people with issues with their goslings. In my experience the 2 biggest issues new gosling owners face are drowning of their babies & lack of enough greenery. Ducklings and goslings both will overdrink & drown themselves - signs range from "vomiting" water to swaying & falling & convulsions. Pasturage is a must for goslings & plenty of it - lack of it & goslings are not thrifty & as they grow they will have brittle bones. I do not supplement any vitamins - I started with a reputable breeder for purchase of goslings & then slowly introduced water at intervals until 4 days old - after that they have free access (unless the trough is empty & they are hogging water) with free feed of starter & plenty of grass/herbage - we use a puppy x-pen during the day to allow grazing on a new "fresh" spot of pasture. We have hand raised goslings several times & enjoyed our geese for years - we are raising saddle back poms currently.
