I will be going to a local swap in may and plan to bring two batches of goslings to hatch. I plan to set a batch of around 10 eggs this saturday. So they would hatch april 17th and be around 2 weeks when I go to the sale. March 28th, so they would be around 1 week old for the sale.

How much should I charge for a 2 week old goose, and a 1 week old goose?

Also, if anybody has pictures of 1 or 2 week old geese, I would love to see them. I cant remember how big a 2 week old goose is.

pips&peeps :

Holderreads charges $65 for show quality goslings....

You need to price accordingly to the quality of your birds and how long you have breeding.

They arent show quality. Just regular quality goslings. non-dewlap toulouse.

I bought my four week old babies at a feedstore. She orders her"s from ideal . I paid $11 for each of them, and I bought 3. She said as they age she increases the price cause of the feed she is out ,they were $8 when they were day olds.

You should go to local auctions and see how much they are going for, if anyone is selling them now. A friend of mine sells goslings here for $5 each, up to a month old. Hers are mixed breeds, but they are still goslings. I don't think $12 would be too much though. Just be prepared to lower your prices or bring them home, with the economy being as it is, normal buyers are probably not buying

They are regular toulouse. Hatcheries usually sell them around $8 bucks a piece, with a minimum of around 8, plus you have to pay for shipping, and most people probably only want 1 or 2 goslings. I plan on asking $12 but I am prepared to take a little bit lower.

You can ask for whatever you want, However as a buyer I wouldn't pay that much for run of the mill unknown birds I might offer $5 or 3 for $12.
