Gosling Questions! Needing help

I would invest in a good goose care book, I am expecting two female goslings in June and have been doing a bit of research on their dietary needs. Currently reading 'Keeping Geese' Breeds and Management by Chris Ashton. You can find it on Amazon in a paperback. For food, I would introduce greens fairly quick, kale, tender chopped up dandelion leaves. A good solid introduction to greens right off the bat will help prevent deficiencies & also suppliment their diet. Waterfowl starter crumbles are ideal, avoid medicated chick crumbles. Around 2-3 weeks old, look for a food with lower protein, around 16% or cut higher protein feed (starters usually have 20-22%) it with oats to help avoid too much protein and wing development issues. Add a bit of Brewers yeast to their moist crumbles for additional Vitamin B. The packets of vitamins and probiotics at tractor supply are also a great suppliment to their waterers (along with fresh water as an alternative drinking option too!) Hope this helps and good luck with those Chinese geese! Do you know the genders or are they straight run?

Also, just read about the pulling instinct of geese. If you can, suspend some greens safety near their brooder where they can peck at some greens for entertainment and snacking. This will preoccupy them so they don't turn on eachother and start pulling each others fluff out 🙁
