I don't remember this with my last ducklings. . .but I have seen both my current ducklings and my gosling, "spit up" after eating or drinking. It is not just what is in their mouth, but regurgitation, like a baby spits up. They shake their head and it flings out in this big, mucusy string, complete with food bits. . .It seems to be worse with the gosling--when I take her out to bond with her, she will usually during a 30 minute period do this at least twice. It literally is just like a baby spitting up.
Is this normal, or is something wrong?
Everything else seems fine, they are healthy, happy, little piggies. Plenty of eating and pooping.
I am feeding them waterfowl/gambird feed from manna pro and once a day I grind up greens and oatmeal and mix them in. I also sprinkle parakeet grit on their foot at least once a day.
Thanks for any help.
