Got a backwards pullet?

This girl lays her egg, or drops it anywhere, then she finds a nest box to scratch and sit in for a rest? Go figure. I am going to change her name to "Ernestine Stop and Squat".
Anyone have an idea of how to break her of this?

Spend time with her... (And it will take TIME!)... when you see her getting ready to stop and squat, pick her up and put her in the box.

otherwise, she'll probably continue....

I rehomed mine that was doing that.
