Being that , for some reason only known to the girls, a majority of them have abandoned the coop and have been roosting in the barn, we made the decision to enclose part of the barn. Mainly to keep our tractor and mower from getting shat upon all the time.
This will be a several seperate post telling as we can only work on it on weekends.
We have about 1/3 of the barn with a concrete floor, so figured we would use that for the equipment and let the ladies have the rest.
First thing is we have to put in a couple more poles around the concrete to nail the boards to, so I started by measuring from the beam down to cut the pole to length to attach to existing I beam. Then we started digging, and that’s when the ladies decided I wasn’t doing it properly and wanted to show us how and where the hole needed to be.
After discussing amungst them selves where it should be they decided to just take a lunch break on site.
They stayed around to make sure none of those nasty worms interfered with the project. We got more pictures of them trying to direct how to get the pole stood up and attached, while yelling at us not to drop it and when to push it over into the hole.
I’ll get those posted later on, when I get them from my wife.
So, only one pole installed this weekend and 2 more to go , then can build the wall up and chase the ladies out.
