The great thing about chickens is just how FUN they are. Went down this morning with great anticapation and let the layers out. Listened carefully, and sure enough could hear a peeper under my Broody hen!

Butter, shifted a bit and groweled at me, so I let her be.

So much fun! wonder how many will hatch!

What fun for the kids too,huh?....peepers peeking!!

yes, and educational today too. We cleaned out the nest, and there was a chick half in half out of a shell that didn't make it. Lots of questions, but that is life.

Was hoping for a bit more, only got three, I think 2 hens and a roo. They are out of an auto sexing rooster on ordinary hens. Two have the chip mark stripes. So I am guessing.

This would be perfect for my relatively young flock, so we won't mention that I have another hen setting on 9 eggs in the corner.
