Im on day 3 of incubating mixed chicken eggs. When can I tell when there fertile? And when does the air sac develop?

The air sac should already be there, it will just become more pronounced in the next few days. If you are new at this, I'd wait until around day 10 to candle. Good luck!!

Agreed, Day 10 if you want to be sure you can see a difference.

However, I'd also candle every day in the same order so you get some idea of what to look for in the future. You can pencil a letter on the eggs you *think* are fertile now, and at Day 10 see how many right guesses you had. It's a fun learning experience, and it won't hurt them to candle them once a day.

I think ill do that. Will I be able to see any veins or anything at day 3?

At Day 3, you may be able to see a darkening at the top end of the egg and possibly very faint veins.
