Hey everyone we got a free chicken coop from a friend. What is the best way to go about disinfecting it. I am going to pressure wash the inside but not sure how I can go about making sure it’s really clean and not spread anything in case their chickens had some diseases (which they looked healthy) I just want to be cautious and get some of the smell out. Already working on fixing the outside to make it more appealing

I would suggest NOT pressure washing.
It could take weeks to fully dry back out and feed a mold bloom in the interim.
A dry coop is a healthy coop.

Bleach and ammonia(from chicken poop) makes a toxic gas.
Wear a serious respirator if you're going to spray bleach.
....and it would take more than bleach to kill most bacteria and viruses.
There are other more efficient disinfectants, not sure of the names, hopefully someone else will.

If anything you might spray some permethrin to kill any mites in residence.
How long since chickens lived in the coop?
