Got another squatter! And a question...

One of my ameraucanas started squatting a couple of weeks ago -- before that she was my least friendly bird, always ran from me and kept her distance. One day out of the blue she squatted and now she's my best friend! She follows me around, likes to be petted and picked up, and all I have to do sometimes is look at her and she'll squat. I waited and waited over two weeks after that first squat for her first egg but got nothing...until I pulled out my tomato plants in the garden and found her secret nest and nine eggs!
