Got all 25 plus 2 packing peanuts of inidentified breed/gender. All 100% alive and healthy, they started drinking and dust bathing as soon as they were out of the box

I'm so excited! 100 roosters is great and all, but hens have that added anticipatory factor that roos dont. Our total is now 135 chickens and 7 ducks, with 10 guinea coming in a few weeks.

That's wonderful that you can reuse like that. And nice that you don't have to buy pine shavings!
 
THey were fine, FINE last night right before bed when I tucked them in, and this morning the one that was lethargic from the get-go was dead...and a second one, one of my GLW, was gasping for air and limp... the others didnt act cold at all so I dont think they got smothered in the seeking of heat last night... but thats really all I can think of. *Sobs* well we're down to the 25 we paid for now and my losses werent either of the packing peanuts!
