Got my first egg- but now I have a problem...

So on the 31st we got out first little perfect egg. What a thrill. I have three 20 week olds. We have gotten one egg a day since. BUT.. one of my girls, one that is not laying yet is sleeping in the nestbox. Every morning there is a tiny bit of chicken poop in there. What do I do? Should I close it off at night and open it in the morning? Any suggestions?

Hi !
I have the same problem with the chickens roosting on the sides of the nesting boxes!!! Ick ! So I have covered them at night and then I uncover them in the morning. Thats the only solution I have come up with so far. Good Luck
