Well, I am

way too thrilled with my "Blue" Cochin.

Yeah, I jumped the gun on this one...my pullets are only 10 days old and I'm picking up some new pullets coming in from the hatchery tomorrow. The roo is 9 mos., just started crowing and showing interest in the ladies at his old home.

I'm just wondering...when my pullets are 6 weeks and I put them outside will the roo be okay with them? Also, if one of the pullets ends up being a roo will it be submissive to the larger, older roo?

I'd keep them seperate. Roos can be ok with youngsters, or at least no worse then the adult hens, but no way would I trust a randy teenager roo with a bunch of babies. If one of your pullets ends up being a roo it will be submisive until it turns into a randy teenager, after that......
