Got some question new to using incubator

Well I just recieved my egg from auction on ebay Buff Orpington. I also have a new incubator 1602n with and egg turner. I just turned it on. My question is should I add water now to get the humidty right or wait until the bator get up to temp then add it.

If you wait for the incubator to warm up, then you will need to add warm water. You should run the bator for at least 24 hours before setting the eggs to make sure the temps are stable.


Otherwise you can add when you start the bator.

Thanks I'm assuming when you have to add more to the bator it would have to be warm also. hova bator is it ok to take the top off to add water.
