I built an 18' X 18' roof off the back of my shed to put my brooder and quail pens. I got the roof and the brooder done. Now I have to build my breeder pens for the quail. Take a look and let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks, it sort of evolved as I was building it. LOL I started out planning to make a simple wooden box and ended up with what you see there.

Any good and easy plans on building the breeder pens for quail? The small sectioned off kind where you put on male and 2 or 3 females in each little section.

Your brooder looks a lot like my brooder, only mine's probably a little smaller at 2'W x 2'H x 6'L. I've got two dividers in mine to create three 2'x2'x2' sections. Both ends slide out, too, which should make it much easier to sweep the shavings out (whenever I get around to that...). We had 28 RIR chicks in the brooder until Saturday afternoon, which would put them at 5w5d old... It was a little cramped, but did the job until I got their coop finished.

I'm sure you'll agree that it sure is nice to have a brooder up on legs, so you're not constantly bending over to get at the feeders and waterers.. I'm a total noob when it comes to raising chickens, but I'm squarely convinced that legs are a MUST HAVE on any brooder.

Nice job.
