GQF 3018 Thermo/Hygrometer calibration

how do I calibrate this thermometer? I’ve placed it in a cup of ice and some water and it read 35 degrees rather than 32. However, when I tried the boiling point test I’m lost because the thermometer only goes up to 125 degrees and boiling point is above 200.

Also, when determining humidity levels does one wet the wick before placing it in the incubator or simply let the wick absorb water from the trays?

I would get a different thermometer since that one seems to be too far off.
