How do you install the heating coil onto the porciline insulators ? I'm trying to use the coil as my heating sourse and ordered just the coil and now I can't seem to find any information that would maybe give some insight to how to install it .I have heard that you are not to stretch it ??? which would lead me to ask .....how do you get it around the insulators if you don't stretch it around the insulators ?? Any info would be great .

I really hate it when I don't have an answer.

you can stretch it, but LIGHTLY...just enough tension to keep it around the insulators but not enough to straighten it out..I ordered several of those coils and was not happy with them...lets say it is 10 inches long, you could stretch it to maybe 12 inches wihtout straightening it out too much...the key word is moderate, lol...

And you are supposed to stretch it around six insulators ?? Or is this different then the complete unit that came with the insulators ?? I hate it when you buy something and there are no instructions !!!!!!!!

call GQF, they can walk you through it...I have done it and didnt have any problems, but I dont know what kind of bator you are workin with

just place it around all insulators, yes stretch it very little. really not that hard...like a spring it should pull tight on the insulators.
