So I actually have two of the newer model GQF incubators. Both of them have the same problem - the temps in the hatching tray in the bottoms are 4 to 5 Degrees lower than they should be!

So if the incubator says it's 100F, in the bottom it's actually 94F. The temp on the first tray will say 100F (that's where I had my wifi thermometer) but at the bottom it's only 94.

I'm going to be using my Hovabators for hatching from now on but wanted to know has anyone had this problem??

I can turn up the incubator temp but the warning alarm goes off pretty much constantly if I raise the temps. Also it still doesn't get the bottom up past 98f even if I raise the incubator setting to 100.

I do not have this incubator.

But since you have two of them with the same problem, it sure sounds like a lack of circulation.

You might have to raise the temperature, but only if you can put some kind of tiny muffin-type fan in there to circulate the cooler air up, and warmer air down.

I assume it is the 1502 cabinet model? Just want to confirm.

In a still air incubator the temperature varies by elevation. Warm air rises so there can be a considerable difference in temperatures depending on how high up they are. With a fan the air should be mixed up so the temperature is the same wherever you are.

With your differences it sounds like the fan is not working or that something is blocking air flow. I'd suspect something blocking air flow as I think the temperature differences would be much more than what you are seeing if the fan was not working. But check both.
