I want to try grafting some tomato plants this year. I decided on a rootstock seed and all that's left is to hit the order button. So I wanted to ask, does anyone have experience grafting tomatoes? Loved it, bleh, hated it?

When I searched for an article or threads on the subject, I found @cj2024 on a couple of threads talking about it. Hopefully, they can help you or guide you in the right direction.

Thank you both! I did search the thread as you suggested and found some interesting stuff 😊

The rootstock seeds I ordered are supposed to arrive any day now.
For the Tomatoes I chose Dro141tx, which is supposed to offer the best balance between plant growth & fruiting, as well as great vigor.
I'm going to try several different Heirlooms as the Scions... including San Marzano and Costoluto Fiorentino, as well as some hybrids like Super Sauce.
I haven't decided whether to graft the Better Boys yet, they are supposed to be resilient on their own. I may do a side-by-side.

Oh and I also got some Curcubit rootstock. It's actually from Squash, apparently it can be used for Cucumbers, Watermelons, Melons, and Squash. So I'm going to try grafting some of my Moms mini Butternuts for fall production, see how that goes! I'll grow at least 1 without grafting to compare. I'm getting excited to see what happens!
