Cock Fighting, some of these stock were used to create the English Cornish Game breed

Ah. Their beaks are so short, where they always like that, or where they shortened over time?

I wouldn't think a small blunt beak would make fighting super easy

They have short stocky build, short beaks, thick bones, broad breasts and wide backs, for cock Fighting a short beak is not a hindrace since they use steel weapons instead of spurs. Mine are kept for their unique beauty, I dont game my birds
