Grass Clippings

Chickens will eat those right? Our lawn mower doesnt pick up the clippings, and I thought itd be fun for the chickens to poke thru and eat what they wanted from the remains of the mowing... do they like grass clippings?

Yes they love grass clippings!

Watch the size- no long clippings. Some have had trouble with impacted crops that were full of grass clippings. Read that a few times here on BYC somewhere.

isent there a risk of sour crop if they eat too many grass cuttings?

or is that only if their diet is mainly grass??
