Grasshoppers and parasites question

We've had a very rainy summer and with that came lots of grasshoppers that my chickens have been feasting on when they get a hold of them. My question is if grasshoppers carry any types of parasites that could infect my flock? I've never had an issue with intestinal parasites before and when trying to look it up I'm not finding anything valid. I know some bugs are carriers but idk which ones are and which aren't.

The only parasites I'm aware of that hoppers can carry are horsehair worms, which won't hurt the chickens. They should be safe for the chickens to eat as long as they are a non toxic species and no one is using insecticides on them.

I didn't know about them carrying horsehair worms. Interesting.

Chickens can get infected by any insect that is infected with worms, including grasshoppers.
