Grazing Box Sprouts

I have a beautiful grazing box built by a neighbor. I bought some non-GMO alfafa sprout seeds. But all the instructions refer to growing them inside. Can I not spread them in the grazing box soil?

You can grow alfalfa grass outside in your boxes.

Are alfalfa grass and alfalfa sprouts the same?

Sprouts are baby grass, you will still see the seed. Give it to your chickens as a wee thing with two leaves, less than an inch tall. They can go from the soaking water right to your chicks. You can also put them in dirt and grow like sod and give it to your chickens when there is sufficient root that the birds can't pull them out.
