The farm down the road from me has done something like this for their chickens, and it seems to work great.

Our space is a lot smaller (one acre) but we were thinking of doing something like this. Of course, it would need to be painted in KFC stripes

The locusts had their grazing area moved today. Kind of hard to see from the top pic but it is amazing how much of the grass they have eaten. It’s most noticeable around the coop.

They now have lots of fresh grass to graze.

Here is my question how often do you change the grazing area for the chickens. Any suggestions on managing the space?

Oh wow that is alot of grass! Mine have the yard and my neighbors But don’t tell them that
