I taught my heeler German Shepard to be near the chicks when they were little as soon as we got them. No problems. Kodiak is the best chicken guard dog, exceptional disposition.

Same here, my German shepherd doesn't bother my chickens at all, however he does "play" with the rooster but the rooster doesn't think its funny lol

When my Cairn Terrier mix met The Girls as chicks he always licked his lips and tried to pounce on them. I was terrified for a month straight. One day I decided I would have to handle this and get them together again. That very day I gave him a little leash slack and he didn’t jump, he fell completely in love. Now they can’t make a peep without him running to the back door to see if they are ok
