Dances with ducks I really love the Anconas. Hershey and the second and fourth pictures are Anconas. My GWH are very skittish in comparison. But I think Hershey is trying to quack now. YAY

What a beautiful young lady Hershey the Ancona is!!!

Yah, I have a pair of Silver WH ducklings and I'm letting my Runner hen brood them, they are very skittish. I'm picking the little girl WH up every day now to give her some human time, but I don't want the WH boy to get too human bonded. The last Runner duckling is even more skittish tho, I think because he/she imprinted on Momma-hen. It saved me a lot of work, but now the work is to get them OK with me.

The same here...because there are 11 of them they are really bonded with each other. They get very upset when one is removed from the group. The Anconas settle down very easily when you pick them up but the GWH still yell for each other.

But I love all of them.
