Green Ball of Light this morning.. Meteor????

I saw a huge green ball of light fall from the sky this morning about 6:40 am est.. I was wondering if anyone else saw it .. I was hoping to find a photo or video online but am not having any luck ... I did find where there are a few meteor showers going on , but I swear this thing looked huge...

My husband is a big astronomy nerd and said this week you can see, Mars, and Saturn but nothing about meteor showers. ( I am in the Monroe county area) and did not see it this morning. Maybe it was a close encounter!

You never know .. It was very quick at first i thought it was CAmp Atterbury as they are jsut a few miles away .. It looked like a falling start then just went out ..Lasted only seconds... Weird

Meteors can occur at any time and that's what this one sounds like.

BTW, Venus is the very bright star you can see right now just after dark. It'll be low to the west.

My g-ma lives in Columbus, so did I many years ago. I remember a lot of strange happenings around Atterbury. Maybe they are doing some top secret stuff.

I believe wed thru friday of this week there is suppose to me a lot of meteors entering the atmosphere

It was very cool .. i will be watching this week for moe.. It happened so fast I couldnt even tell my 4yr old DS to look up ..

the shuttle was flying low over the earth this morning because landing in FL was bumped back a few hours... you could have seen that?

Why do meteors have to come down during times I would rather be sleeping? Well I suppose I will have to get up early tomorrow and check the skies....
