I wasn't sure where to post this, I live in Indiana zone 5, I was wondering if it's too late to plant green beans (either bush or pole) for a fall harvest. I realized I didn't plant nearly enough!!

Look on the package to see how long it takes them till harvest. Different varieties have different lenghths till maturity. A lot depends on the weather too...like early or late freezes. I've planted them the first of August and gotten beans some years....other years an early freeze took them before I got many if any beans from them.

I'm about 100 + miles south of you. I suggest you try a "cold crop" instead. Check the maturity date on the bean packet and try to figure out what your weather would be like by then and also consider the diminishing sunlit hours, cooler nights, and ground temperature dropping.
Come on! You'll probably see snow flying before you see any ready to pick green beans!

If it's close to the frost time, but not into winter, You could always watch the weather and cover them if need be to get your harvest.

Please come over to the BYC sister site, www.theeasygarden.com , or there's a link at the very bottom of the BYC pages.

There're a bunch of chicken gardeners over there, but it get a bit lonely sometimes?

I usually have both forums open at the same time,

I'm in the deep south, so it's not too late for us. But I would suggest a cold frame for where you are, that can extend your growing season. Also try the bush type (easier to use the cold frame on)
