GREEN EGG SUPRISE!!!!

My last and most timid hen ( an auracana named saphire) has laid her FIRST EGG! She was spending some time eating scratch off our sunroom floor when she laid the egg right in the middle of the floor. Unfortunatly it cracked upon impact. Although we knew the eggs would be green we didn't believe it would be THIS GREEN!!

You know they mostly lay the olive color eggs but some times they lay pastel blue which is sooooo pretty

Today she laid another one of the olive colored eggs. And this time NO CRACKS!

They are so different from the eggs my other hens lay.

I really hope she lays a pastel blue egg. That would be amazing

It seems like it took Saphire forever. But really she's only 28 weeks old. Just hang in there. It's worth it.
