We got our chicks the beginning of August and received a first egg (brown) for Christmas. Now I routinely get 4 to 5 eggs a day from my six chickens (2 RIR, 2 Golden sex-linked, and 2 Easter Eggers/Ameraucanas). We love the fresh eggs and I must visit the coup at least 4 or 5 times a day to check on the chickies and to gather any eggs. A little over a week ago we started to get a nice olive green egg. So on Monday we had green eggs and ham. We recited Dr. Suess during breakfast. Anyway, yesterday we got one really large egg. We have gotten one of these before and it was a double yolker. This morning I broke it and confirmed that indeed it was a double yolker. Anyway, here are some photos.
