Green Eyes.

Ok, I admit that I jumped off the couch and ran outside to check my girls’ eyes! All orange. (We have 4 standard sex-link hens from Tractor Supply).

I’m no scientist... but I did take biology in high school . My thinking is that genetics in birds works the same way as everything else. If a parent has a trait, the offspring have a chance of inheriting it.

I read somewhere a while back that for some breeds green eyes are a disqualification in competition. So it must not be too uncommon.
