With it coming into winter here in Australia, how long will it take roughly for my barley shoots to be ready? We soaked them last Thursday night and put them in the trays Friday morning. It is now Monday and I have lots of white root activity happening but not much green at all. I am soaking them twice a day and even using tepid water as it is already very frosty here and the tank water is very cold from the tap. I have them inside in front of a window so they don't freeze overnight. Do you have as much success through winter as summer? I am really enjoying the whole process and hope it works out. I'm sure the chooks are going to love them
. Ps: it's getting down to -5 degrees Celsius here which I am sure is probably nothing compared to some of he winters in the US!! Lol.
