There are GOBS of caterpillars crawling around our place right now. I think they are some kind of "armyworm" caterpillar or something.
I've been catching them & feeding them to our 3 chickens for a couple days.
When I pick up the caterpillars, a lot of times they squirt green slime on me. Some of it ends up on their bodies & sometimes they probably squirt it while the chickens are eating them. I read one place that some of the slime caterpillars sometimes squirt is toxic.
Anyone know if caterpillar slime is bad for chickens? If so, how bad?
