Green swollen foot

I have about 6 week old Guinea fowl and I noticed today that she has a swollen foot and is green. She is limping on it. When I checked her foot i did notice a cut on a toe. Can anyone tell me what this is and treatment? Is it an infection?

The green coloration is bruising. Birds bruise in green because of the composition of their blood. Sounds like she hurt her foot. Give it time. Clean the cut and put some plain Neosporin on it if you can. You can do warm epsom salt water soaks to help with the swelling, keep the cut clean, and just as an overall palliative measure. Just don't let her drink the salty water. It could give her diarrhea.
