Well I was outside yesterday enjoying the nice weather and my chickens of course

and I had a glass of green tea. Soooo my really really spoiled barred rock hen jumped up on my lap and got a drink of my green tea. I put the rest of what was left in my glass in a a small chick waterer and my girls LOVED it. My question is is it ok to give them green tea in their waterer instead of water every now and then or is that a big no no?

No, I just make my chickens espresso each morning... just joking!

(And I thought my chickens were spoiled!)

I can't imagine it would be bad for them if it was homemade tea(tea bags of pure green tea) with no sugar. I have some green tea I got at Costco you make yourself. I bet my girls would love it.

I don't let my birds have anything with caffeine in it. I do let them have some of my herbal teas, sometimes.
