Lately I have been noticing that some of the eggs have a green tint to the whites when I crack them open. It isn't just one hen. They smell fine. Could it be something they are eating? They free range. I feed purina lay pellets. They get a handful of cat food every day to keep them from rushing out the gate when we leave for work.

Could the eggs be getting tiny cracks somehow? We were always taught that any color tinted whites were contaminated, spoiled.
